BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT - introducing Scott Davidson Jr.!
What is your favorite things about Startup Fair LA?
“My favorite part of working on Startup Fair LA is not only working with my great team to plan an event that will help further the career of UCLA students, but the interaction I have with other entrepreneurs on a regular basis. Every email, call, or in person meeting is an opportunity for me to learn about communicating with other business people in a professional manner. It’s also super neat because I get to interact with people ranging from a student with an idea for a startup to an experienced entrepreneur with a company consisting of 500 employees.”
What accomplishment would you say you’re most proud of?
“I would say I’m most proud of starting my own company, Axsilon, and being accepted into Startup Labs, a Bruin Entrepreneurs accelerator program. Taking that step to implement your idea into a real product and company is a big decision to make, as it requires a lot of commitment, and I am proud I have taken that important first step.”
BRUIN WOMEN IN BUSINESS
UCLA’s premier female business organization, is recruiting for a new committee board for 2022! With committees covering industries from consulting to technology, Bruin Women in Business’ open membership aims to reach as many motivated students as possible, and accomplishes this through professional events, workshops, mentorship, and more. As part of committee board leadership, you’ll be helping support BWIB’s mission by providing the resources that’ll help our members succeed in their future careers. If you are interested in becoming more involved with BWIB, we highly encourage you to apply.
